# Abilities

> Choose the WordPress actions Agents may use in your workspace.

An Ability is an action an Agent can perform, such as reading a post or updating
a page. Toolkits group related Abilities, and Integrations describe the
WordPress software that provides them. Use **Manage** to choose individual
Abilities within a Toolkit.

## Agent access modes

When approving or editing an Agent connection, choose its Ability access mode.
The Agent still needs access to the website and the relevant enabled Abilities
in the Workspace's configuration.

- **Recommended** allows ordinary recommended actions and excludes high-impact work.
- **Read only** lets Agents look without making changes.
- **Full access** permits every risk level within the connection's other access restrictions. It does not enable high-impact Abilities in the Workspace by itself.
- **Custom** lets you decide action by action.

## High-impact actions

High-impact actions stay off by default. A Toolkit does not admit them
automatically. You must enable each one explicitly, or confirm **Enable all** after
reviewing the warning.

High-impact actions use the same AI Actions allowance as every other Ability.
They do not have a separate plan limit.
